A new study determines the link between depression and coronary artery disease

Clinical Implications

In adults, the effect of coronary artery disease on the future risk for major depression is greater than the effect of major depression on the future risk for coronary artery disease. The risk for future coronary artery disease is stronger with more severe, recurrent major depression.
